Fairmont Schools

As Fairmont Schools launched their plan to renovate the Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Fashion Labs at their Anaheim Hills Campus, RHA introduced a new design scheme that would be inspiring for the Students and the Faculty.

Each lab renovation began with removal of existing ceiling tiles to create exposed, open ceilings adding to the spatial height; including new duct work, safety hazard equipment, and epoxy finish to the existing flooring. New modern furnishings were specified to complement the interiors, while creating additional storage and organization. Ultimately through extensive color theory studies, hues known to be calming, energizing, or even socializing were attributed to each lab room in respect to its field of study. With this understanding that a variety of color is beneficial to learning and behavior, incorporating a complete spectrum of color was an essential part of the design to optimize the educational environment.
