Water Grill, SCP

The project presented the challenging opportunity of creating architecture that embodies Water Grill’s offerings and tradition of rich, welcoming interiors. The concept is inspired by seaside waterfronts and shipyards where wood, steel and concrete create enticing environments. It’s infused with architectural elements such as deep, horizontal roof lines, large piers, bow trusses, and concrete walls that evoke walking along a bustling wharf. A massive rusted steel structure echoing a moored ship is utilized to anchor the architecture and further enhance the waterfront experience along the restaurant entryway. Once inside, guests are met with Water Grill’s beautifully detailed interior and covered patio dining area. Large, retractable windows and doors are utilized to integrate the indoor and outdoor spaces further capturing the energy of the waterfront.
